Can you refrain from smiling when you’re happy? How difficult is it for you to smile when you are sad or stressed? Have you noticed how many times you smile during a single day? Try it today. Just become aware of when you are and are not smiling. Then choose to put that smile on your face. Make it a habit and notice how your spirit responds. Our circumstances are constantly changing, but we can nourish our spirit or be a victim to things we cannot control. In a yoga class last night I tried to keep a smile on my face the entire practice. It made my breath come easier and I was more relaxed into the poses, but something greater was happening. My spirit was peaceful and joyful. Lift your spirit simply by smiling.
