Look at your face in the mirror – really look at yourself. Now smile. Notice how your features soften. Maybe notice the lines that appear around your eyes and remember each time you’ve smiled from your heart that put them there. When your smile is real, notice how your eyes light up. Most likely you took a deeper breath in or exhaled completely. Feel your shoulders. Did they relax down, even a little bit? Close your eyes with the smile still on your face and feel your body soften. Take three deep inhales and exhale completely after each one. Feel any stress in your body melt away. Open your eyes and look at your smiling face! Now go smile at someone else so their body will receive the same benefit!
